About this asset

Pale gray bark plates are divided by deep-looking vertical grooves and short crosswise cracks. Small green traces add local variation without covering the entire trunk surface.

Where this material fits

Use this pattern on a mature trunk or a fallen log. Match plate width across connected branches, and place the UV seam where it is least exposed in the shot. Cut ends need their own wood treatment rather than the same bark rotated onto a cap.

Included maps and resolutions

  • Base Color
  • Normal — OpenGL
  • Roughness
  • Ambient Occlusion
  • Height

The product listing specifies 4K, 2K and 1K PNG maps with seamless tiling.

Material setup

Follow the tree bark UV workflow to align the plates along trunks and branches. Check the normal-map troubleshooting guide when grooves appear inverted or stronger than the modeled form.

Pair it with Mossy Ground PBR Texture — Dirt and Roots around tree bases. Compare Old Wood Plank PBR Texture when the prop changes from intact bark to sawn, weathered boards.
